I wake at 4:00 AM every morning. It’s my writing time.

Sometimes I am a curmudgeon this early. I grumble. I complain. I feel overwhelmed by all the tasks ahead. My energy is low.

I’ve found a few things that really raise me up and put zest into my soul. These practices get me charging into my day fill of hope.

In fact I have got an entire system that I teach to others called “The Archangel".

This is of critical importance. Your life is short. The clock is ticking. Every day you spend feeling low, overwhelmed or even just average is a tragedy.

I want the readers of this newsletter to live big, bold, brave and effective lives, not small ones.

Here are 7 things that I do to truly soar every single day (The last 4 I’ve made available only for our paid supporters - Thank you so much)

1. Box Breathing With Meditation

Everything starts with how you breathe. The breath is life itself. I have discovered that I hold my breath when I am anxious or overwhelmed. This shifts me away from a place of creative calm.

So I do simple box breathing whenever I feel overwhelmed, unfocused or I am tempted to move onto one task without completing the first.

When I box breathe, I mediate on my simple “I AM” statement from our Archangel Model (TM).

Here’s a great video on Box Breathing

2. Message 3 of Sanctum People

A connected life is an energized life. As a solo-entrepreneur it is important that I do not become isolated. When people isolate or disconnect from community they become less productive.

Every day, try to connect with 3 people from your inner circle (sanctum) and share a goal for your day AND let them know of a specific challenge you might be face. Stress to them that you are not after solutions BUT you are sharing so that you are known.

A problem shared is a problem halved. When I share in this way daily, I remain energized throughout the day.

3. Use Sticky Notes to Set 3 Goals (The Night Before)

I’ve included a photo of our Archangel System below, as part our practice we encourage people to set 3 micro goals for the next day, the night before. This means you wake up with a clear plan for the day.

These micro-goals are incremental steps towards a larger foundational goal. For example: One of my foundational goals might be to write a book, an incremental daily goal is to write for 2 hours today.

Sticky notes are great for a number of reasons:

  • They are flexible (you can tear them up and start again)

  • They are mobile. I will often take one of my Sticky Notes and attach it to the back of my phone, so that it travels with me every day.
