Without compassion you have no soul.

What kind of world do you wish to build?

Evil prevails when compassion walks out of the room.

Without kindness, our world is royally fucked.

Nothing scares a tyrant more than love.

It brings all their unworthiness to the surface. They start to talk quickly, become more argumentative, blabber uncontrollably, and transform into an even more defensive animal.

Without compassion, you have no soul.

You are simply a rigid skeleton without a heartbeat.

That’s a frightening thing to become, to become blind to another person’s humanity.

Countries can also become this way.

That’s the curse of nationalism.

You only see your own face.

You become oblivious to the plight of others.

You remove anything, any precept, any person, any people group or any moment in history that would require that you look at others or yourself with compassion.

The only thing that matters is your own image.

So you whitewash the walls and feign perfection.

The other problem is this…

Without compassion, darkness descends….

And you find yourself trapped in a soulless abyss.

That’s the true cost of electing a leader without compassion.

The nation starts wearing coats adorned with the words “I don’t care.”

And all semblance of greatness is lost.
